Hounded. Atticus O’Sullivan has been running for two thousand years and he’s a bit tired of it. After he stole a magical sword from the Tuatha Dé Danann (those who became the Sidhe or the Fae) in a first century battle, some of them were furious and gave chase, and some were secretly amused that a Druid had the cheek to defy them. What a fun book. It was fast paced, fairly short, with some really enjoyable characters. I have been reading a lot of epic fantasy, sci-fi and history books recently and wanted something a little different - but fairly quick. Up popped Hounded, the first book in a series by Kevin Hearne. Atticus is over years old, and is a Druid. "Hounded" is book 12 in the series, and without giving anything away, something long-time fans have been waiting for. Andy Carpenter is a sarcastic, intelligent, funny lawyer. A little bit lazy, but so likable and genuine/5. I think "Hounded" is good, just not Rosenfelt's best. If you haven't read any of the other Andy Carpenter books, you'll like this book and will want to read the others. As another reviewer said, it seems a contradiction, but these murder mysteries are great light reading. David Rosenfelt's books keep me interested all the way through the book/5().

Hounded by Kevin Hearne, , available at Book Depository with free delivery worldwide/5(K). Hounded is the first of the Iron Druid series featuring druid Atticus O'Sullivan. This is a really fun urban fantasy read. It is set in a recognizable modern world where all the old mythological gods, demons and myriad creatures in between are real. To narrow the focus a bit and keep myself sane, when I sat down to write Hounded, the first book of The Iron Druid Chronicles, I made myself a list of what I wanted to contribute to the genre. I wanted an unusual hero, easily distinguishable from others; I wanted to give man's best friend a voice, and I wanted it to be a big best friend, like ISBN:
Where does Hounded rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far? Very high on the list. The perfornance was admirable and the tone and inflection of voice gave a emersive experience. The book scratched an itch I didn't even knew I had. What was one of the most memorable moments of Hounded? The conversations with the protagonist and. David Rosenfelt deftly works in wry humor, “Hounded [is] great summer entertainment, a page-turning mystery with a lot of good laughs along the way.”Brand: St. Martin''s Publishing Group. The Hounded is a novel written by Australian screenwriter Simon Butters and is his debut novel and boy is it a deep, somewhat depressive and serious one. The novel centres around 15 year old Montgomery ‘Monty’ who on his birthday, which none of his parents remembers or celebrates is surprised to find a black dog waiting for him in his /5.
